Worship at Lake Ann
Hello All,
On the 8th through the 10th of January HeartSong Blue team had the chance to head up for the first Freeze Out weekend at Lake Ann Camp in Michigan. We had the opportunity to lead worship for about 250 awesome high school kids, it was such an awesome weekend. Ken Rudolph and E.J. were the speakers for the weekend, Ken Rudolph talked about pain and how Christ wants to be the solution for our pain, and how God gave us our pain for a reason. E.J. spoke about living a life that is passionate and intentional for Christ. I personally benefited greatly from the speakers there that weekend, and I know for sure that the students there were impacted as well.
Freeze Out is an awesome weekend to have fun in the snow (and I mean a lot of snow) and it is also a great weekend to please God with our worship and putting our focus back on him. For me, Freeze out is a great weekend to get away from the business and stressfulness of school and just relax and focus on worshiping God. It is so much fun to worship God at Lake Ann because we can be crazy and dance, yet we can also be thoughtful with our worship. It is awesome all the ways that we can worship God. I love playing music at Lake Ann because it is just so refreshing to me. Seeing high school students not care about what people think and just worship is a truly awesome thing.
I love Lake Ann for many reasons… First off, the food is the best camp food I have ever had. Not only are the meals good, but at night they have “late night snacks” where we can have all the chili cheese fries and homemade donuts we could ask for. It is so awesome. Especially for a college student who loves to eat. Another reason I love it is because they have a sweet tubing hill, and the biggest reason why I love Lake Ann is because it is so beautiful there. The snow and the woods are incredible. It is such a relaxing and incredible atmosphere. You can’t help but marvel at God’s creation while you are there. I love it. Anyway, pray for the rest of the Freeze Out weekends, because there are many more to come. Pray that the HeartSong teams will be an awesome representation of Christ and His love while we minister at Lake Ann! God Bless!
