An update from the Southeast!

Stone Mountain, Atlanta GA
We’re driving in the van as Cali is screaming, “Eat Quizno’s subs!!” at the top of her lungs for some reason. We usually don’t try to figure out why Cali does the things she does, it would be a waste of time! Right now we’re on the way to Santee, South Carolina. The past couple days we have been in Burgaw, North Carolina, where one pastor told us, “It’s halfway between ‘deer crossing’ and ‘resume speed.’”
We were involved in a July 4th celebration at Antioch church in Lincolnton, North Carolina. We arrived the evening before to a cute church in the country. Over the dinner they provided us, we met Pastor Norman and Fred, the music minster. Their vision for the event was that it would bring in people from the community for the concert, barbeque, and fireworks, and possibly be able to bring in more people to the church. We were very privileged to be able to be a part of the outreach event, and God really blessed their efforts. The sanctuary was filled as several hundred people who came out for the celebration.

We have also had some time to relax the past few days. Earlier in the same afternoon we spent a couple hours at Pastor Norman’s house on the lake. It was great to have some time to just hang around in the sun and swim in the water as a team. Despite being near the ocean quite a bit, we haven’t had a lot of time to spend at the beach, so it was a welcome break. I certainly can’t complain, though! After all, one guy did take me flying in his Moony over Hilton Head and the other islands nearby. Being on tour is such an incredible experience!
We’ve also had the pleasure of changing tires in the hot southeastern sun! We are truly blessed to only have a had a flat tire here and there. Continue to pray for our safety as we have only 4 weeks left on tour…wow, where has the time gone.

What a guy!
In case you were wondering, we didn’t stop at Quizno’s like Cali wanted. We went to Arby’s : )
