Filebound Update – Monday 1/19

Just a reminder to all faculty and staff that Filebound (the University’s document imaging program) will be updated next Monday. We estimate that Filebound will be unavailable from 6:00 a.m. to approximately 9:00 a.m on January 19.
Frequent users of Filebound were notified of this update two weeks ago and will receive additional email updates from the Information Systems and Services team as needed. If you experience any difficulties with Filebound after the upgrade, please submit an IT request.

New Phone or Laptop?

Did you bring a new phone, laptop or other device to campus which needs to connect to the network? Visit the TechHelp pages for connection instructions and other helpful resources. If you need additional help, visit TechStop between 11:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays. TechStop is located via an external door on the north side of the Tyler Digital Communication Center.

Emergency Notifications

Winter weather has arrived and with it the possibility of weather delays/closings. Be informed about these and other possible emergency situations by subscribing to Cedarville University text/phone alerts. Log in to CedarInfo and look for the Individual (General) Transactions heading. Choose “Signup for emergency notification” and follow the instructions.

Microsoft Outlook Users

If you do not use Microsoft Outlook to view University email on your office computer, you can skip this section. A new version of Google Sync (the program that synchronizes your Google mail with Microsoft Outlook) is available and should update on your office computer automatically. If you notice that new mail stops arriving in your MS Outlook inbox, you can update the Google sync program as follows: Click the Start button in the lower left corner of your computer screen > Choose All Programs > Choose _CedarNet > Click Communications > Choose Google Sync of Outlook Update. Problems with MS Outlook can be reported through an IT request.
