Today, October 16<\/strong>, the security certificate that secures authentication to the eduroam <\/strong>WiFi network is being renewed. This is a process that happens every year when the current certificate expires.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What this means for your eduroam-connected devices…<\/em><\/strong> <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Android Devices: <\/strong>No action needed. <\/em><\/strong>Your connection to eduroam <\/strong>will continue to work without any disruption. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

iOS Devices (iPhone\/iPad<\/strong>): Action needed! <\/em><\/strong>The first time you connect after the change, your device will display the following message: “<\/em>Certificate: <\/em><\/strong>eduroam.cedarville.edu issued by Sectigo RSA Domain Validation Secure Server CA (<\/em>Not Trusted<\/em><\/strong>)” <\/em>as shown below. Click “Trust” in the upper right corner to continue connecting.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MacOS Devices: Action needed!<\/em><\/strong> The first time you connect after the change, your computer will prompt you to verify that you trust the new certificate with the following message: “<\/em>Authenticating to network “eduroam”<\/em><\/strong>: Beforeauthenticating to server “eduroam.cedarville.edu” you should examine the server’s certificate to ensure that it is appropriate for this network” <\/em>as shown below. Click “Continue” to finish connecting to eduroam.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Windows Devices: Action needed! <\/em><\/strong>The first time you connect after the change, your computer may prompt you with the following message: “Continue Connecting? If you expect to find eduroam in this location, go ahead and connect. Otherwise it may be a different network with the same name” <\/em>as shown below. Click “Connect” to continue connecting to eduroam.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
