April 14 Update: Ordering Regalia, Powerful Testimony in Chapel, and SGA Chapel Friday

April 14, 2020 |

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. (Psalm 20:7)

Today’s updates include ordering commencement regalia, show us your workspace, a powerful testimony, tomorrow in chapel, and a special SGA chapel on Friday.

Commencement Regalia – The class of 2020 can now order regalia directly from the Jostens website or the Graduation Regalia menu link on the Cedarville Bookstore website. Please keep in mind that it takes approximately five weeks to receive regalia once ordered, and the site will be active until the end of August. That will provide ample time to purchase regalia for the planned October 2-3 commencement weekend. Also, the Bookstore is getting ready to launch its all-new online store on April 20. Watch for more information coming soon!

Show Us Your Workspace – Our Business Division is working hard from a variety of scenic locations this week!

The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert – Today in chapel, we were blessed by a rebroadcast of one of Cedarville’s most-watched chapel presentations, the powerful testimony of speaker and author Rosaria Butterfield. If you missed it, watch it now.

Tomorrow in Chapel – Join us at 10 a.m. via Facebook Live or the chapel livestream as we hear a live message from Dr. Dan DeWitt, Associate Professor of Applied Theology and Apologetics.

SGA Chapel on Friday – Friday will be a special SGA chapel with Chaplain Isaac Dye wrapping up his series from 1 John, live at 10 a.m. via Facebook Live or the chapel livestream.

  • Paige Riebel says:

Is regalia required for the October commencement celebration?

    • Cedarville University says:

Great question, Paige! Since commencement was not cancelled, it was just postponed. We recommend for the graduates to wear regalia. We will share this question with the Administration!

  • Kori Beal says:

Follow up about regalia, do we have to pay for it ourselves now or is Cedarville still covering the cost? Thanks!

    • Cedarville University says:

Hello, Kori! Each student will need to cover the cost of their own regalia. The University is not longer covering the cost since we are not charging the graduation fee. Your savings will be about $25 compared to the $75 graduation fee.

  • Evan Cornwall says:

Are regalia costs still being covered by the University? The Josten’s Cedarville page does not appear to be in Direct Bill format like the original order had been.

    • Cedarville University says:

Hello, Evan! The University is no longer covering the cost of regalia since we decided not to charge the graduation fee. Your savings will be about $25 compared to the $75 graduation fee.

  • Elissa Uithol says:

It looks like now we have to pay for regalia? When I previously placed an order there was no cost. Is there a reason it isn’t free this time?

    • Cedarville University says:

Hello Elissa! Since the University decided not to charge the graduation fee, each student will need to cover the cost of their own regalia. Your savings will be about $25 compared to the $75 graduation fee.

  • Alana Miller says:

If we already ordered regalia, do we need to order it again?

    • Cedarville University says:

Hello Alana! Yes, we initially cancelled every order when the decision was made to postpone commencement. Please place your order again.
