December 10 Update: Changes to Quarantine Policy

December 10, 2020 |

Following recent guidance from the CDC and after careful review of our own COVID-19 tracking data from fall semester, we have adjusted our quarantine policy. The following changes are effective immediately for employees and in-season athletes and will guide our protocols for all students starting with spring semester:

  • We will require students to quarantine only if they have been identified as a close contact with someone who has had a positive COVID-19 test.
  • Quarantined individuals will be monitored closely for symptoms over time, and they can be released from quarantine on day 7 with a negative COVID test or on day 10 if no symptoms occurred.

You can find these changes on page 20 of the Caring Well. Staying Well. COVID-19 Operating Plan. As a reminder, we are finalizing updates to our operating plan for spring semester and plan to release in early January.

On behalf of the Caring Well. Staying Well. communications team, we wish you a hope-filled Christmas season celebrating Immanuel, God with us!
