January 21, 2021 |

These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. (John 15:11)

We are so excited to have our students back for spring semester — although the weather has not been very spring-like! We’re encouraging everyone to be extra diligent to follow COVID protocols these first two weeks to help us start the semester strong.

Today’s update includes:

  • Dr. White’s COVID reminders in chapel
  • CUGO Days next week
  • New touchless package and mail locker system

Dr. White’s Chapel This Week – In case you missed it, Dr. White opened the semester in chapel Tuesday and provided several updates that may interest you, including quarantine changes, COVID testing, and commencement. Watch it now:

CUGO Days – Due to COVID concerns, in lieu of our normal Global Outreach conference the first week of spring semester, we will enjoy a two-day emphasis on global outreach on January 27–28, titled “Commissioned: CUGO Days.” Here is the schedule:

Wednesday, January 27
10 a.m. – Chapel with Dr. Josh Bowman, Assistant Professor of Missions and Theology, Doden Field House
7 p.m. – Cross Conference Watch Party, Jeremiah Chapel

Thursday, January 28
10 a.m. – Chapel with Dr. Matt Bennett, Assistant Professor of Missions and Theology, Doden Field House
7 p.m. – Cross Conference Watch Party, Jeremiah Chapel
8 p.m. – Thursday Night Live, “Accepting the Commission: What’s Next?,” with discussion led by Dr. Bennett and Dr. Bowman, Stinger’s

New Package and Mail Locker System – Since returning to campus, students have been using the new touchless package and mail lockers. This short video explains how the new system works:

As a closing note, you can always access the COVID-19 dashboard on our Caring Well. Staying Well. resource site. Please pray with us throughout the semester for the Lord’s protection to continue to be upon our faculty, staff, and students.
