Announcing Plans for Fall 2021

April 19, 2021 |

Today in chapel, Dr. White announced plans for Cedarville to return to normal operations, including the traditional fall schedule, for 2021-2022. Fall classes are set to begin on August 18. The University’s annual Getting Started move-in weekend is slated for August 13-15.

Lord willing, fall semester 2021 will return to typical pre-pandemic activities, including Fall Bible Conference, homecoming, fall sports, study abroad, Global Outreach, and more. The academic calendar will go back to having a fall break to allow time to refresh mid-semester.

The anticipation of continuing vaccine benefits and more effective treatments for COVID-19 contributed to the announcement and planning for normal operations in the fall. Vaccinations are optional for Cedarville students, faculty, and staff.

Will students who are vaccinated have more freedoms and access to in-person classes and attendance at school or sport functions than the students who are not vaccinated?

    • Sarah says:

Hello, Laura. No, students who have been vaccinated will not receive greater access.

  • Jamie says:

My daughter is considering Cedarville as an option for college. While I believe we ought to follow state and local guidelines, I also believe individuals should have freedom to decide about what they put in their bodies. Do you anticipate any mandate for required Covid vaccines to attend in person or live on campus? This is a significant deciding factor for us in which school for her to attend. Thanks for your honesty!

    • Sarah says:

Hello Jamie! The COVID-19 vaccine will not be mandatory. We will defer that decision to individuals, unless mandated by state or federal authorities. We are praying for your family during this decision making process!

  • Fed-Up Parent says:

I hope removing the mask requirement is part of the plan.

  • Ed Mattern says:

Awesome! God is faithful! So glad to hear! I am sure, my oldest daughter was just as excited to learn of this during Chapel! It is the application of Godly principles and faith that excite me, as a parent, to not only have one daughter attend CU, but God willing, a second daughter Fall 2025!
