Don’t Miss These February Intercultural Events

One month … four weeks … three great opportunities each week. Join Greg Dyson and the Office of Intercultural Leadership for the following special events during Black History Month:

  1. Listen, Lunch, and Learn – Each Thursday from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the SSC dining hall, we will host an opportunity for students, staff, and faculty to enjoy lunch together and discuss issues of ethnicity, race, reconciliation, and other multicultural topics. Purchase your lunch individually and then look for the “Listen, Lunch, and Learn” table near the entrance of the dining hall. You will find interesting questions on the table that you can select from, or bring your own questions that you would like to discuss. With these conversations, we are striving to better understand the challenges faced for the Gospel-centered believer. Rev. Greg Dyson will help moderate the discussions.
  2. Screen Time! – Every Thursday night from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in SSC conference room #161, we will meet to watch and discuss movies together. We have a great lineup scheduled: Feb. 1 – Hidden Figures; Feb. 8 – Remember the Titans; Feb. 15 – Selma; Feb. 22 – Second Chance Church. Bring snacks for yourself and to share! After the movie we will spend 10-15 minutes discussing the Gospel implications from the film. Space is limited, so please RSVP with Intercultural Leadership via email, gdyson@cedarville.edu.
  3. Prayer Time – Each Friday at 11 a.m., we will hold a 10-minute prayer time for faculty, staff, and students to pray together, focused around intercultural praises and requests. The location will be announced 24 hours before the prayer time. Please plan to join us if your schedule allows.
