Laura Allnutt, Professor of English Composition, published a novel by Woodhall Press titled Below Them the Horizon. It is available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

Dr. Beth Delaney, Associate Professor of Nursing, was selected as a Dayton Business Journal 2020 Health Care Hero. This award is presented to Dayton area healthcare workers who have made an impact on healthcare through their concern for patients, research and inventions, management skills, innovative programs for employees, service to the poor and uninsured, and community engagement.

Dr. Glen Duerr, Associate Professor of International Studies, and 2018 Cedarville alumnus Jacob Mach published two book chapters. In the same volume, Dr. Duerr published another three chapters.

Dr. Chu-Yu Huang, Professor of Nursing, taught the Nursing Ethics class at Taiwan’s Dayeh University in July using two languages. She also co-published the following article:

Scott Long, Assistant Professor of Nursing, has been accepted to Vanderbilt University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.) Program.

Dr. Alicia McCartney, Assistant Professor of English, was featured in an article from Central Nova News titled “Assistant professor found faith, love, friendship and a career path at Patrick Henry College”. She discussed her thankfulness for her students and the challenges of teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

 

Mischelle McIntosh, Assistant Professor of Communication, did the videography for a documentary film titled “Life Jacket” in July 2018. It was produced by Teach Beyond Borders and was released to film festivals this summer. It has been nominated for a “Best Documentary “ award.

Dr. John Whitmore, Senior Professor of Geology, was a co-author with Dr. Leonard Brand on a paper that recently appeared in Sedimentology, a leading geology journal: “Characterization of hard-to-differentiate dune stratification types in the Permian Coconino Sandstone (Arizona, USA).” Dr. Sarah Maithel, a 2012 Cedarville geology graduate, was the lead author.
