It sounds like the beginning of a joke. A nursing major, local kid, guy from the east coast, a ball player and a tall man all meet on a sidewalk…..It is true. After a few moments they exchange enough of life together that two of them, who have never met before, begin to pray! Are you finding what connects you to others ? It is easy to see the things that can separate you; height, education, culture, gender, ethnicity, politics, et al. Â For these five, the glue is Christ! The fact that they will spend eternity together is a truly compelling reason to get to know each other now. Consider this week finding and meeting the other brothers and sisters in your world that you don’t know yet! I have sometimes said, after missing an opportunity to meet someone, who later proved to be “significant” “If I had only realized who they were”! Take a moment look around, extend a hand and make an acquaintance. They may become a friend!
