This years Civil Rights Tour “Learning and Living 2016” has some great allies. As I reflected with Dr. Murdoch on last years tour, we recognized that while we were learning about culture, ethnicity and human rights, it would have been great to have experienced the trip with others from the community. This year’s Civil Rights Tour will do just that! Members from local churches will join the CU tour as we travel 2000 miles in 4 days. One of the travelers will include a local pastor, Bobby Hile. He is a Cedarville Alum (1990) and now shepherds Southgate Baptist Church in Springfield, OH. Pastor Bobby has a passion for developing multi-ethnic, redemptive communities that live out the reality of the Gospel. He has almost two decades of experience as a missionary in South Africa. Rev. Hile will provide devotional reflections for our team. Distinguished CU professor, Dr. Murray Murdoch, also a member at Southgate, will serve as the instructor for the trip and provide the daily teaching on the tour. Southgate generously made their church bus available and provided drivers to help make this year’s trip a reality. We will make our way through Charleston, SC; Birmingham, AL; Atlanta, GA; Wilberforce, OH and Selma, AL. Please keep the students, staff, faculty and local church members in prayer as they humbly learn on this tour. For the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ.
