There is a jewel of a museum just a few miles from the Cedarville University campus that provides a glance backward and forward. On the campus of Central State University (an HBCU- Historically Black College/University) is the National African American Museum. This is like visiting a good restaurant. It may take you a while to visit it the first time, but once you go, you’ll learn the value and keep going back! Currently two of their great exhibits include a display about America’s Buffalo Soldiers and an international collection of quilts honoring Nelson Mandela. Weekly, I have conversations with leaders looking for ways to interact with and learn about people from different ethnicities. Can I recommend you consider visiting the National African American Museum? If you find hesitation inside your heart, don’t be ashamed and don’t stay away! And yes, I’d gladly go with you the first time if you’d like 🙂
With eternity in mind,
