She teaches the community health, leadership, and cross-cultural minor courses in the undergraduate program and Care of the Older Adult in the graduate program. In addition to serving at Cedarville, she has been blessed to be able to serve patients for the last 22 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner in both rural and urban practices. She has additional nursing experience in community health, pediatric developmental assessment, and service coordination. She has a strong interest in health promotion and the treatment of obesity. She enjoys serving in the music ministry at Buckskin Community Church. She and her husband, Chris, have two daughters. She is looking forward to seeing her oldest daughter, Shelby, get married this summer and her youngest daughter, Courtney, continue to work through her premed degree at the University of Cincinnati.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-90\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.cedarville.edu\/thescope\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Miller-Brenda.jpg\" alt=\"Brenda Miller\" width=\"110\" height=\"142\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.cedarville.edu\/thescope\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Miller-Brenda.jpg 240w, https:\/\/blogs.cedarville.edu\/thescope\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Miller-Brenda-120x155.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 110px) 100vw, 110px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Brenda Miller<\/strong><br \/>\nBrenda Miller serves as Assistant Professor of Nursing and has been with Cedarville since 2021. She teaches Nursing Foundations for freshmen and sophomore students. Prior to coming to Cedarville, Brenda worked as a Registered Nurse with Premier Health for 33 years in various roles in direct patient care and as an educator and manager. She worked in the following areas: Renal, Mother-Baby, Antepartum, Infection Prevention, Staff Coordinator for Education, System Clinical Educator, and Manager of Education. She was an adjunct instructor for Kettering Medical College and CTC LPN program. Her certification is in Nursing Professional Development. She has been married for 35 years, and her son attends the University of Cincinnati, majoring in Aerospace Engineering. Her hobbies include reading, knitting, traveling, and playing with her 6-month-old goldendoodle.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-95\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.cedarville.edu\/thescope\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Amanda-Minor.jpg\" alt=\"Amanda Minor\" width=\"110\" height=\"142\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.cedarville.edu\/thescope\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Amanda-Minor.jpg 240w, https:\/\/blogs.cedarville.edu\/thescope\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Amanda-Minor-120x155.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 110px) 100vw, 110px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Amanda (Wolfe) Minor &#8217;07, M.S.N. &#8217;13<\/strong><br \/>\nAmanda Minor is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has centered her clinical career within the field of women\u2019s health. In addition to her clinical practice, she now serves as an Assistant Professor of Nursing. Her background includes high-risk antepartum and postpartum care. As a nurse practitioner, she serves women from their childbearing years through post-menopause. Personally, she is a wife, mom to four energetic girls, and caretaker of one sweet goldendoodle. She enjoys thought-provoking books, quality coffee, and holds a special place in her heart for foster care and adoption. As a student, Cedarville\u2019s nursing instructors taught Amanda to use nursing as a ministry for Jesus Christ. Now an alumna returning as faculty, Amanda prayerfully desires to instill that same desire in the next generation of nurses.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-96\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.cedarville.edu\/thescope\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Mosher-Ruth.jpg\" alt=\"Ruth Mosher\" width=\"110\" height=\"142\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.cedarville.edu\/thescope\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Mosher-Ruth.jpg 240w, https:\/\/blogs.cedarville.edu\/thescope\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Mosher-Ruth-120x155.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 110px) 100vw, 110px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ruth Mosher<\/strong><br \/>\nRuth Mosher serves as Assistant Professor of Nursing and has been teaching Med\/Surg at the junior level since 2021. She strives to imbue her students with the desire and ability to provide excellent patient care and to show Christlikeness to those they work with and serve. Her professional nursing career began 39 years ago; 38 of those years have been with the Kettering Health Network, where she remains a resource staff member in Ambulatory Surgery. She was an adjunct clinical instructor each semester from 2015 to 2019 with Kettering College and then Cedarville University from 2019 to 2021. She has been married for 25 years and has two sons she homeschooled from kindergarten through 12th grade who currently attend Cedarville University. Having previous experience as both a student and employee at institutions of Christian higher education, Veronica feels comfortable in this environment and desires to continue serving the Lord, integrating her faith in teaching and mentoring students as they prepare to serve the Lord as members in the nursing profession.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-98\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.cedarville.edu\/thescope\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/williams-marcia.jpg\" alt=\"Marcia Williams\" width=\"110\" height=\"142\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.cedarville.edu\/thescope\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/williams-marcia.jpg 240w, https:\/\/blogs.cedarville.edu\/thescope\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/williams-marcia-120x155.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 110px) 100vw, 110px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Marcia (Knaus) Williams &#8217;94, M.S.N. &#8217;13<\/strong><br \/>\nMarcia Williams is a Cedarville University undergraduate and M.S.N. graduate. She is originally from upstate New York but has lived in Florida as well as Ohio. Marcia\u2019s research interests are looking at rural health disparities, women&#8217;s health issues, and all things related to family practice. She has worked in oncology and labor and delivery in the past. Marcia loves spending time with family and friends, hiking, challenges, finding new adventures, and working with her church&#8217;s youth group.
