Student Employment Training

University Human Resources is pleased to announce an additional Student Employment training session.  If you missed earlier training sessions or need a refresher, we encourage you to attend this upcoming session.

Location:  SSC Event Rooms 245-246

This training session is tailored to help employees who hire and/or supervise student employees gain an understanding of new and enhanced student employment processes that are necessary to ensure student employees begin their employment successfully.

UHR will facilitate additional Lunch and Learn training sessions throughout the academic year.  Additional details are forthcoming.

Millennium Educational Retirement Seminar

The Cedarville University Retirement Committee is excited to announce an educational seminar for all University employees.  This is the third in a series of seminars that have been hosted on campus.

The University has retained Millennium Advisory Services (MAS), a registered investment advisory firm, to administer this session.

The group seminar, “Navigating Tax Changes and Handling Market Volatility” will be offered on Wednesday, August 29th at noon in the BTS 103.  Please bring your lunch.

Millennium will be on campus beginning Tuesday, August 28th through Thursday, August 30th with scheduled availability to meet individually with interested employees.

These one on one meetings will allow time for specific discussions related to the following topics:

  • Understanding Cedarville University Retirement Plan options
  • Reviewing or initiating individualized financial planning goals
  • Understanding the MAS financial planning process and service offerings for professional fee-based investment management of retirement plan account(s)

Health Savings Accounts Are Coming Soon!

Cedarville University will offer a new “Health Savings Account” option for the 2019 plan year.  Eligible employees may choose between the current PPO plan and the new Health Savings Account (HSA) plan.

University Human Resources will distribute additional information this summer and hold educational sessions this fall to ensure that employees are well-informed and prepared to select the best option to fit their needs prior to the November 2018 open enrollment period.
