Monday, a dreaded day for many. Personally, I don’t mind it too much. What’s a Monday look like for me?

I usually wake up at 8 a.m. Well, more accurately, my roommate’s alarm often wakes me up at 7 a.m., then I doze for an hour. I then get up and ready for the day (that is to say, I make some pour over coffee) before heading to my 9 a.m. class, Networked Audiences, which focuses on where the future of communication technology might be going.

After that, I head off to chapel, which is one of my favorite parts of the day. I heartily enjoy worshiping with other Cedarville students and then digging into the Word to learn more about God.

I often fill my afternoon with varying activities. I make myself some lunch, just like I make myself breakfast and dinner. Being able to make all of my own food is one of my favorite parts of living in the townhouses on campus. I might go to Yellow Springs, a nearby town, to work at Super-Fly Comics and Games, a store that sells anything nerdy. I often schedule interviews for whatever news article I am writing for Cedars, the student-run newspaper on campus, or  interviews for school-related articles during the afternoon. I might even have a meeting for a group project. What I’m doing usually just varies week by week.

At 5 p.m., I’ll go to my SGA Marketing committee meeting, where I help create great marketing solutions for the student government and different student organizations around campus. Soon after that is done, at 7:30, I lead a meeting for Cedars designers. Up next is the Cedars editors meeting at 8 p.m., followed by the Cedars writers meeting at 9 p.m.

That’s a day in my life. Of course, there is much more that could happen. I could take a walk down to Telemetry (local coffee shop) to study with some people. I often play video games or board games with the guys in my townhouse. I’m part of a devotional group (called D-Groups), where several other guys and I meet up to talk about our spiritual lives. Sometimes I even work out. But, yeah, that’s my day. What does your average day on campus look like? Hope you stay busy.

Till next time.
