We recognize the significance and importance of graduate education in nursing as it prepares nurses with the knowledge and skills to lead change in the current health care environment. The market demand for master’s degrees in nursing continues to grow, and we have seen a steady growth in the Cedarville University M.S.N. areas of focus (Family Nurse Practitioner, Global Public Health Nursing, and Nurse Educator) and graduate certificates (Global Public Health Nursing and Nursing Education). We are excited to see new areas of focus developed and ways to expand the impact of graduates from Cedarville using nursing as a ministry for Christ.

Here are some recent highlights from each of our areas of focus:

  • Family Nurse Practitioner students were on campus in February for the Spring Enrichment. IMPACT provided a Minor Office Procedure Workshop for students to learn skills and competencies that nurse practitioners need in clinical practice.
  • Global Public Health Nursing students are impacting patient outcomes domestically and globally through opportunities such as measuring the impact of health equity in a local community and speaking with members of an at-risk population group in a federally qualified health care center.
  • Nurse Educator students in the education practicum course have had the opportunity to experience a wide range of nursing education experiences including participating in Interprofessional Collaboration events with undergraduate and graduate nursing students, pharmacy, dietary, counseling, social work, and medical students from area universities.

Cedarville’s graduate nursing program has recently received several recognitions for excellence regionally and nationally. Our faculty and staff are committed to investing in students by providing quality educational experiences and an education grounded in biblical truth. We are thankful for the nursing students that choose to pursue graduate education at Cedarville University. We are grateful for the Lord’s provision to the School of Nursing and the M.S.N. program and seek to honor Him in all we do.

We are accepting applications now for fall and spring starts in the M.S.N. program.
