I was privileged once again to lead a raft trip down the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon with Jon Albert of Canyon Ministries June 20-26.  The seven-day trips are fully outfitted by Arizona River Runners who do a first class job!  Jon and I taught about the geology of the Grand Canyon and its various rock layers from a biblical perspective as we rafted and camped on the river.  Campsites are sand and gravel bars next to the river.  The group travels 188 miles down the river on two large 35 foot motorized rafts.  Yes, we encounter lots of white water!  Two Cedarville graduates (father and daughter) enjoyed the trip.  Some of the highlights were watching a string quartet perform in a remote side canyon, seeing big horn sheep feeding along the river, the night skies and of course unparalleled beauty.  Consider coming along next year!
