What you do matters!
Members of the Advancement team at Cedarville know this phrase well — it is both a word of encouragement and exhortation from me at our monthly team gatherings. It speaks to our callings as well as our desire to plan and execute our service to the Lord Jesus and Cedarville University with excellence.
The Transformed Tour visited Northeast Houston Baptist Church in Humble, TX, on May 27, 2022.
A few days ago while exploring the beauty of Arches National Park, Dr. White asked me, “Did you ever think working in Admissions would lead you here?” As I looked around and took in the massive red rock formations, the orange sand beneath my feet, and the vast, overcast sky above that seemed to stretch for miles, I uttered a confident, “Not at all.”
There is something special about every day being different. To wake up each morning with a new view, a new climate, a new venue to fill, a new set of people to get to know and love, that is what has given this season of life on the Transformed Tour its distinctive excitement.
I have learned that sleeping in an RV while it is traveling down the road is not as easy as it sounds. Bumps, turns, stops, bad roads, potholes, etc., all wake you up, but the longer the trip and the more tired you get, the better you sleep through them.
I have the privilege of traveling on the Transformed Tour team this month as a vocalist for HeartSong. The days are truly flying by … we are already halfway done with the tour! I have seen the hand of God at every event and rest day. God is working in the hearts of the team and those we get to meet on the road.
Hi, Cedarville family! I’m very honored to be able to share about the amazing things that God is doing on this tour as we strive to be faithful to Him. My name is Mitchell, and I am the drummer on the HeartSong team that is traveling on the Transformed Tour.
The Transformed Tour was at Spring Creek Church in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, on May 14, 2022. It was a joy to meet new friends, reconnect with alumni, and celebrate God’s transformational work at Cedarville University.
The Transformed Tour was at Harvest New Beginnings in Oswego, Illinois, on May 13, 2022. That makes 3 tour stops complete. We are thankful for the opportunity to take the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ on the road.
The idea of doing a nationwide bus tour was actually born in 2019 when the US presidential election season was just beginning. Being a staff member, a supportive alum, and super fan of Cedarville, I obviously started to ponder how Cedarville could take this same principle of traveling around the country but use it to share the gospel through worship and the word and give people an idea about the kind of transformation the students were experiencing here on campus because of their relationship with the Lord!
