Cedarville University School of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the University of Cincinnati James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy and Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, sponsored an interprofessional leadership development and networking event at the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy on October 13.
Special invitations were extended to Doctor of Pharmacy, prepharmacy, premedical, nursing, and allied health students as well as pharmacists, directors of pharmacy, pharmacy faculty, VIPs, and organizational leaders.
The night began with dinner and included introductions by both Dr. Neil MacKinnon, Dean of the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy, and Dr. Marc Sweeney, Dean of the Cedarville University School of Pharmacy. Nationally renowned speaker Tim Elmore, President of Growing Leaders and author of Generation iY, was the keynote speaker.
Breakout sessions were held for further discussion, and the evening closed with a book signing, dessert, and networking that will likely foster future collaboration. Students received a certificate of participation at the conclusion of the event.
