J Drive Maintenance – Thurs. 9/24
The network and infrastructure services team will be performing critical maintenance on the J: network drive tomorrow morning (Thursday) starting at 5:30 a.m. The J: drive will be unavailable for about 60 minutes.
*NEW* Grade Assist Tool for Faculty
Information technology has recently licensed a tool called GradeAssist for easier commenting and grading of student papers submitted as Word documents. The tool adds a custom menu to Microsoft Word that facilitates entering common grading comments (e.g., sentence fragment, missing punctuation, etc.). Many thanks to Dr. Nelson Henning (Social Work) for suggesting this tool and putting IT in touch with the author.
To install the grading tool on a University computer:
- Click on the start button > Choose All Programs
- Choose CedarNet > Choose Office Suites
- Choose Office Add-ins
- You will have a choice of several styles (APA, MLA, Turabian, etc.)
