New University Computer Installations
Every year Information Technology replaces 25% of the computers on campus. Faculty and staff computer upgrades will occur starting in June.
- Your department administrative assistant has a list of those users whose computer is up for replacement.
- You will receive an email with preparation instructions approximately a week before your upgrade date. You may request a change in date for schedule conflicts.
- New University computers will be deployed with Windows 10 and Office 2016 preinstalled.
- New University computers will not be equipped with CD/DVD drives.
All techcarts, classroom and lab computers will be replaced or reimaged in July.
World Change Your Password Day – May 5
Have you changed your CedarNet password lately? All CedarNet passwords expire every 360 days, so take a moment now –during the calmer days of summer– to change your password through CedarInfo.
Upcoming Summer Tech Projects
Here is a list of upcoming summer tech projects planned by Information Technology. As the dates come closer, more detailed information will be distributed:
5/9 – All requested CedarNet username changes were completed. Remember if you changed your username, your email address changed as well.
5/26 – Windows Updates will be released to campus computers.
7/1 – Pharmacy students will be loaded into Moodle courses.
7/13 – Moodle will be upgraded to version 3.0.
7/18 – Filebound planned upgrade.
