Stronger Passwords
On March 18, information technology will implement new password requirements to increase CedarNet account security. New CedarNet passwords will be case-sensitive. In addition, your new password must contain:
- A minimum of 8 characters
- At least one alphabetical and one numeric character
- Optional: may include upper case letters and special characters
The next time you change your password through CedarInfo, your new password will need to adhere to the password strength requirements listed above. Password expiration is not in force for most students; however, students who work for information technology will be required to change their CedarNet password every 180 days.
