Request Username Change – by Friday 5/1
Just a reminder… three times a year, we offer students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to request a change in their CedarNet username (login name). Reasons for requesting a change would include wanting a shorter username or to reflect a change in your last name (via marriage or some other legal action). The CedarInfo transaction to request a change in your username is located under “Individual Transactions.” The deadline for requesting changes this semester is Friday, May 1. The actual changes will be made on the morning of May 5. Additional details are available in the April 9 IT blog post.
Computer Labs – Summer Hours
The open access computer labs in BTS 111 and ENS 251 will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1 for Summer break.
The BTS 111 computer lab will reopen for summer hours as follows:
May – 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. M/W, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. T/R/F, closed weekends
June – 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. weekdays, closed weekends
July – closed until the start of fall classes on Wednesday, August 19, 2015.
The ENS 251 lab will be remain closed during the summer and will reopen with the start of fall classes.
The SSC 103 computer lab, Rinnova Internet Cafe, and all CedarPrint stations will be open during summer building hours as determined by Campus Safety.
Fir Server Maintenance – Saturday 5/9 (FacStaff Only)
The Network and Infrastructure Services team will be performing scheduled maintenance on the Fir server on Saturday, May 9 between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Data stored on the Fir server will be inaccessible to faculty and staff during that time. Refer to the Identify Your Network Server help page if you are unsure of your assigned server.
