CedarPrint Issues

1. CedarPrint stations can only print 8-1/2 x 11″ letter size prints. We believe attempting to print non-standard paper sizes causes the CedarPrint stations to lock up and produce an error message.

2. As of 11:00 a.m. Thursday 8/20, if you attempt to send a print job to CedarPrint in a non-standard paper size you will receive the following error message on your laptop/University computer “Printing denied, disallowed size.” Before you can successfully send the print job to CedarPrint, you will need to change the paper size of your document to 8-1/2 x 11″ letter.

3. It will take about 24 hours before all of the old print jobs expire from the CedarPrint queue. If you try to print an older print job, you may continue to see an “open rear door” error message. This message appears because CedarPrint thinks you are going to manually feed a different size of paper. If this message appears, please submit an IT request (cedar.to/itr) or call IT 937-766-7905 to let us know which CedarPrint is displaying the error. A student worker will be out shortly to resolve it.
