The campus phone system experienced a brief outage this afternoon where a number of lines would begin ringing in offices but the calls could not be answered. The network team quickly addressed the issue and restored normal phone system operation but the outage may have caused confusion or missed calls.
The network team will perform a restart of the entire campus phone system tonight at 11:00 PM EDT as a preventative measure to ensure the system is operating properly.
