The Network & Infrastructure Services team will be performing maintenance on the connections between the main campus core network and our Internet Service Provider (OARNet), and the connections between the main campus core network and our Wireless Network Controllers on March 4 & 5.
This work may cause network outages at the following times:
- Between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday, March 4, wireless networks across campus may experience 10-20-minute outages. This will not affect wired network connections, off-campus access to Cedarville University web services, or VoIP phone functionality on campus.
- Between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, there may be one or two short (2-3 minute) outages in Internet connectivity across campus. This will not affect on-campus access to CU web services, but it will prevent access to off-campus websites including Google Mail on both wired and wireless connections, and it will interrupt off-campus access to Cedarville University web services. This work will not affect VoIP phone functionality on campus.
This work is part of Information Technology’s effort to provide greater stability and higher reliability of our campus network.
