As a result of an update on Microsoft’s security systems, you might be missing some icons from your desktop, such as Chrome or the Microsoft Office applications. We’re working on a solution, but in the meantime, you should be able to start the Chrome browser by clicking on the magnifying glass next to the Windows Start button and typing Chrome. It should come up in the search results and you can click on it. You can also try just clicking on the Windows Start button and typing Chrome.
If you’re missing shortcut icons to Office apps, try entering the appropriate program name for the Office app you wish to run. For example, search for winword.exe to start Word.
winword.exe – word
excel.exe – excel
mspub.exe – publisher
powerpnt.exe – powerpoint
