Tech Training Classes

Registration is now open for facstaff technology training classes (choose the Technology Training option). Hands-on computer classes are offered for all levels of experience: beginner to advanced.

Topics include Google Apps, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and more. Classes are held during the chapel hour in the lower level of the Centennial Library – room 032. Preregistration is required because of space limitations. Visit the training registration website to view class specifics or to register.

Atomic Learning Online Video Training

No need to wait for a scheduled tech training class. Simply log in to Atomic Learning today –using your CedarNet username and password– and view one of over 50,000 videos (1-3 minutes in length) covering 205+ different software programs (Photoshop, InDesign, Google Apps, Office 2013, etc.) as well as soft skills like listening, presenting, customer service, etc.

Did you know that you can recommend or assign video training to your staff or students? You can also include links to Atomic Learning training videos directly in Moodle using EasyLinks. Faculty and staff can also upload custom training modules directly to Atomic Learning. Contact IT for more details.

Laser Toner Request

Information technology is pleased to provide toner service for your department. Please submit an IT request when your laser printer toner is out. You will need to provide the following information in your request:

  • your printer make and model number (e.g., Dell 3130, HP 400)
  • toner color (black, cyan, magenta, yellow)
  • your department general ledger number

A student technician will deliver, install and test your toner cartridge within 1-2 days. Defective toner cartridges must be reported to IT within 30 days of delivery in order to receive a replacement at no charge.
