Information Technology personnel will be working on several projects during the next three weeks. Please take note of the days and times and the services that will be affected. We’ve tried to schedule our work so as not to disrupt the campus during normal business hours.
Thursday, December 19, 7-9 p.m.
We will be upgrading the server (Sequoia) that houses the S: and T: drives. Those drives will be unavailable during this period.
Friday, December 20, 5-7 a.m.
We will be upgrading the PaperCut software that tracks and manages network printing and copier use on campus. During the upgrade, printing services to classroom and lab printers will unavailable, and faculty & staff will be unable to sign into copiers to do copying and scanning.
Saturday, December 21, 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
We will be upgrading the server that houses the J: drive beginning at 8 a.m. and the work should take around two hours to complete. The J: drive will be unavailable during this period.
We will also be making configuration changes to 42 backbone network connections in 19 of our 22 academic buildings. This work will begin at 8 a.m. and will cause a short (<1 min) outage in all areas of the following buildings:

We will be upgrading one of the servers (Fir) that houses the H: drives for about half the faculty and staff accounts. H: drives on that server will be unavailable during this period.
Monday, December 23, 8-10 a.m.
We will be upgrading the server (Palm) that houses the H: drives for the other half of the faculty and staff accounts. H: drives on that server will be unavailable during this period.
Friday, December 27, 7 a.m.-12 p.m.
We will be upgrading the servers that power the on-campus phone system. Phone service will be sporadic during this period.
